Merge onto I‑35 N toward Temple/Waco.
Continue on I‑35 N for ~90 miles through Waco toward Hillsboro.
Near Hillsboro, take US‑84 W toward Abilene and drive ~150 miles.
Along this stretch, you’ll pass The Allen House Boutique Inn & Suites in Eastland—look for its historic facade.
Stay on US‑84 W until you reach the outskirts of Lubbock.
Merge onto Loop 289 N, heading north.
Continue on Loop 289 for about 4 miles.
Take the exit for Slide Road (FM 1729), and turn left to go north.
